A term we as chiropractors like to use is kinesiology which means the study of the principles of mechanics and anatomy in relation to human movement. A vertebra that is subluxated will impede nervous system flow between the brain and the body. Sometimes this can be painful and at times barely a nuisance. BY identifying a subluxated vertebra your chiropractor will remove the nerve interference to reduce pain and also allow for better communication of the nerves.

So chiropractors are not nerve doctors. Chiropractors are doctors who rely on moving subluxations to restore nerve flow. The big thing to remember is that chiropractors do this without using drugs or surgery. It is an all-natural means of achieving spinal health. Most people only think of chiropractors as back or neck pain doctors.

If you are not improving or do not like the treatment simply speak up. Changes can be made to your care.

The treatment you receive can and should be modified if results you were expecting do not appear to be forthcoming. You are in charge and should speak up if your results are not to your expectations. The full benefit of chiropractic care is not just being pain free. Your nervous system runs your entire body.
